The latest release of CARIS Hydrographic Production Database (HPD) 3.1 offers an abundance of new functionality, including new comparison tools and customizable user access.
The leading database production system allows users to manage their marine spatial information and create cartographic products. In HPD 3.1 the new flicker and swipe tools allow users to examine different layers and external data sources simultaneously. These tools can be used at any time during the production workflow, further enhancing the data compilation process.
New user access controls have been added to HPD in this release. Enhanced user access flexibility gives administrators greater control over the access and editing of specific products and usages. This is of importance for those agencies managing sensitive data.
In addition, HPD 3.1 includes product creation from multiple source usages, new raster chart comparison and chart linking capabilities, the ability to create standalone charts, improved chart panel boundaries editing, coverage for polar regions and expanded web mapping services.
