CARIS is pleased to announce the following appointments:

Release and Product Manager for CARIS HIPS and SIPS

Jamie Parsons and Burns Foster have been appointed to new leadership roles for the CARIS HIPS and SIPS product suite.

The new strategy for the management of this large and important software system is to have Jamie and Burns lead the product development in the following roles:

• Jamie Parsons as Release Manager, with 13 years of experience working with the product in Customer Services, will focus on the internal activities of issue management, release planning, and production of software releases.
• Burns Foster as Product Manager, with 5 years of experience working with the product in Customer Services, will focus on the external activities of the product in the marketplace including conferences, workshops, strategic alliances, special projects, etc.

Product Manager for CARIS Server

James Rapaport has been appointed as Product Manager for the CARIS Server initiative. This initiative focuses on the consolidation of our server technologies with the goal of offering to the market a wider range of services from a single platform. Since joining CARIS in the summer of 2012, James has brought a wealth of experience in software development, international standards, data modeling and GIS.
