About the Author
After gaining a BSc in Ocean Science, Alison worked within the Offshore Survey Industry as an Oceanographer for one year with Titan Environmental surveys. After working on a variety of projects both onshore and offshore, Alison moved to Fathoms Ltd. and started work in hydrographic surveys and processing. In 2011, she joined EGS International as a senior surveyor and operated surveys as a party chief in UK and Europe before moving to CEFAS (Centre for Environment Fisheries and Aquaculture Science) in 2014 as Hydrographic Survey Manager. Alison now organizes all the hydrographic surveys and data for CEFAS including all the UK MPAs (marine protected areas).
About the Image
A 3D image of a channel running through a rock formation in the English Channel. Data was processed with HIPS and SIPS.
