About the Author
Paulo Renato Teixeira de Carvalho is a lieutenant and hydrographic surveyor of the Portuguese Navy. He attended the Portuguese Naval Academy from 2010 to 2013 and earned a Degree in Military and Naval Science. In 2014, he completed the FIG/IHO/ICA Category A Hydrography Course at the Portuguese Hydrographic Institute (IHPT). From 2015 to 2017 he was chief of hydrography service of hydrographic Portuguese vessel NRP Almirante Gago Coutinho. Since 2017 he has been working in the Hydrographic Brigade of the IHPT.
About the Image
Continental Portugal – Canyon of Lisbon Hydrographical survey carried out by the hydrographic vessel NRP Almirante Gago Coutinho in the Canyon of Lisbon with two multibeam systems, bathymetric data processed in HIPS and SIPS. The survey was conducted by Instituto Hidrográfico, the Portuguese Hydrographic Office (IHPT).
