The release of the Paper Chart Composer, CARIS’ new desktop paper chart production software, is greatly anticipated by hydrographic offices worldwide. Built using the well established CARIS HPD technology, Paper Chart Composer is a must-have tool to meet the needs of modern chart compilation.

In support of its pending release, CARIS is pleased to announce that a new boot camp geared specifically to Paper Chart Composer has been added to the CARIS 2012 program.

CARIS 2012 attendees will be given an exclusive opportunity to attend this two-day, expert lead boot camp. Participants will be taught how to create an IHO nautical chart using the Paper Chart Composer software in this hands-on and interactive workshop.

Topics will include sheet and panel definition, supported data sources, conversion of ENC data to paper chart features, digitizing tools, topology, annotation, masking, borders and scale bars, quality control rules, vector and raster outputs and printing.
