In partnership with IIC Technologies, India, CARIS is pleased to announce it has been awarded a contract for ENC production for the French National Hydrographic Office (SHOM).

Using CARIS electronic chart production software, the current project will involve the compilation of a number of data sources including existing ENCs, paper charts and SHOM's hydrographic database, with the option to deliver an additional set of ENCs at a future date.

In 2003, IIC and CARIS were awarded the first SHOM contract for ENC production. The contract is being lead by CARIS BV, located in Heeswijk, Netherlands. CARIS BV is responsible for all marketing & sales and customer support activities within the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions.
